Yesterday was an exciting day for me! I got a letter in the mail saying the above painting was accepted into the Salmagundi Club's Annual Non-Member's Painting and Sculpture Exhibition in New York City! The show will run June 30th through July 18th. I'm very excited, and hope to be able to make it out to the closing reception.Also, I got a call from the Lawrence Art Guild's President asking if I would be the juror for Art in the Park this Sunday. Again, I am just completely honored and excited to do this! It wasn't that long ago that I was set up at this very art fair, and was excited to receive my own ribbon.

Hokey Smokes!!!! That is the best news I have heard today! I am so happy for you and so proud of you. You have worked so hard. I am amazed at all you know and how skilled you are. Congratulations. I sincerely hope you are able to go to NYC for the opening. Also, how great is this that you have made the circle complete from being ribbon winner to juror? You should be on cloud nine. Thanks, Doug! Yes, I am on cloud nine for sure. So much so that I let my son stay up past his bedtime and eat ice cream with me last night! ;-) Hopefully I'll make it out to NY... I'll keep you up to date.
